Royce Diamond and Louiz Rip are back in Kansas City at The Record Bar Friday May 10th to lay down their take on hip hop music in the version of their collaborative EP, “Rhyme Dotte County”. This is definetely a show you do not want to miss for various reasons. Accompanying this duo is veteran hip hop artist Stitch81 who will also be performing with her band of brothers Original crew (a Kansas City based hip hop crew).

Recording Studio for RAOM.

If you’ve been following us for the past year you know that Random Acts of Music is one of the newest music production companies to come out of Kansas City. 2012 was an excellent year for us and we are still growing. Growing so fast we are in need of a new facility. From January of 2012 to September of 2012 we grew so rapidly that we started looking for a space and a building fell into our laps. Take a look at the photos of the recording studio.

Grand Opening

We will definitely have a grand opening party once we put the final touches on the building but for now, we need a name. We thought it would be a great idea to ask some of our fans (YOU!) to give us some help. Write them in the comments; on our Twitter page RAOMusic or our RAOM Facebook Page.

2012 RAOM Wrap up

Last year was a busy year, just in case you missed any of the music that we released, here goes…

March of 2012 we released our first RAOM studio album when we released Royce Diamond’s “Mirrors and Smoke?, which you can still check out and purchase today. We followed that release in May of 2012 with Louiz Rip’s “Joe Average” that is also still available at stores everywhere. In July of 2012 we released “American Dreaming” produced by DJ X-Sinna and immediately followed that up two weeks later, also in July, with “Let it Out” produced by Dotsun76.

Random Acts of Music year-end ?Rap? up.

Random Acts of Music (also known as RAOM) burst on the scene in 2012 with two free music download albums and two studio albums featuring two of it?s artist (Royce Diamond and Louiz Rip) featuring musical production from three of this production teams producers. With releases starting in March and wrapping up in December with the first collaboration album from Royce Diamond and Louiz Rip entitled ?Rhyme Dotte County.?

From free music download to studio albums

RAOM offered two albums as free music downloads and two studio albums, all of which have garnered quite a bit of a buzz thought the United States and abroad. ?Mirrors and Smoke? and ?Joe Average? were the first two albums to be released under the Random Acts of Music brand as studio albums in the spring of 2012, putting Royce Diamond and Louiz Rip on stage more than twenty times before the end of spring.

First free music download release in 2012

?American Dreaming? was the first of a line of free music downloads in 2012 to be release by the RAOM group in the summer of that same year. Taking a small viral trip on Facebook, the ?American Dreaming? project became a huge success for the group carrying them well into the fall and putting the labels two lead artist (Royce Diamond and Louiz Rip) back on the road.

?Rhyme Dotte County?

If the plan was to go out with a bang, the album ?Rhyme Dotte County? was a huge send off for the label. The ?Rhyme Dotte County? EP features five songs of very powerfully hip hop lyrics that would capture the attention of any fan of the genre. A very busy year for the group and we look forward to what they have planned for 2013, word on the street, expect an album by early spring.

Royce Diamond and Louiz Rip have released a new album entitled ?Rhyme Dotte County?. This album is already getting some great reviews and moving around the net rapidly. ?Rhyme Dotte County? features five songs, four of which feature production from Royce Diamond. The fifth song ?Anything? features production from Random Acts of Music producer DJ-X-Sinna and female rapper Stitch81 Classic. The rest of ?Rhyme Dotte County? has no features and is jam packed full of some of the hard-hitting lyrics. Royce Diamond and Louiz Rip go back and forth throughout all of ?Rhyme Dotte County?, delivering line after line of heavy hitting lyrics.

?Rhyme Dotte? is the intro song to ?Rhyme Dotte County? album and a heater in my opinion. A little bit of rockand roll, that hip hop 808 and a whole lot of double time from this duo made for a song jam packed full of one liners and metaphors. Stop listening for a second and you will miss more than a lot of hip-hop songs have in three minutes. Royce Diamond and Louiz Rip let it be known what they think about some of the artist out there on the song ?Anything?. That is just two of the songs on this EP you will not want to miss. James Bond SkyFall

The new James Bond movie Skyfall is out and breaking records all over the world. Your favorite rapper, Royce Diamond, is a huge James Bond fan. In fact, Royce Diamond has a routine with his son to catch the latest Bond movie, on opening night, for every US release. This year was no different. Tickets bought in advance and every trailer watched before opening night.

Sky Falling

The one twist to Royce Diamond?s James Bond ritual was that he and his label mate Louiz Rip wrote a James Bond tribute song titled ?Sky Falling? in homage to the new movie. Of course we are going to give you a listen and hey, how about a free download to this track?!? ?Sky Falling?

Rhyme Dotte County

Sky Falling comes to you via the Duo?s new EP ?Rhyme Dotte County? which will be out later this November. The EP features all new music from the Duo with one feature from, Stitch Eighty-One-Classic also known as ?Stitch?. There is also production featured on this project from RAOM producer DJ X-Sinna. ?Rhyme Dotte County? is the first complete collaboration between these two artists and was wonderfully executed. Keep your eyes and ears open for the entire EP this holiday season.

Rap at the Goomba Rave

Last night (September 27th, 2012) the Bottle Neck in Lawrence, Kansas hosted an event by Bear Club that was sponsored by Red Bull called Goomba Rave that brought in a ton of very talented rap artist. All under one roof, this event brought in Lawrence based, rap artist Winners Circle and Approach. Wyandotte county rap artist Louiz Rip and Royce Diamond were a part of the line up, along with DJ-Gtrain and the Red Bull Thre3Style Kansas City Champion DJ Sku and oh what a night.

Non-Stop rap music, dance music and cameras going off everywhere with tons of video sure to make YouTube in the next few days and you know it was a Rave to not miss. The energy in the club peaked way past 10 on the meter keeping everyone going well into the morning hours. Thank you to all of the college kids that had class today and all of the suits that had to be at work, but hey, today?s Friday. It might be a long eight hours today but I?m sure it was worth it.

What could this song possibly be about, hmmm, I wonder. Is it the pay back for times these artist have been done wrong? Nope, think bigger than that. Karma is a call to the wonderful land of the United States. Royce Diamond and Louiz Rip drape their red, white, and blue, but they realize it’s still not the land of the free, well for some. Think drug slanging, bottle popping, misogynistic, Afro-American hating, corporate rap America and you’ll be on the right path to the message found within this song. Royce Diamond and Louiz Rip are similar to Kansas City’s Black Star rap duo, if you follow the message Karma puts on the table.

Above the Lights with Royce Diamond

Karma doesn’t sound like a call to action but more of an observation of where the music industry seems to be in its present state. Hip-Hop has made it to corporate America and that, according to “Karma” is both good and bad. Hip-Hop, the new rock and roll, is also the new gluttonous, fame craving; self-absorbed sitcom and we all love it.

Reunion

Royce Diamond’s latest single “Let It Out” was produced by R.A.O.M. producer Dotsun76 and will be released on July 24th, 2012. A little birdie let it slip that these two have been in the studio together for years but this is there first commercial collaboration. Dotsun76 and Royce Diamond where in a rap crew in high-school, called Skill Society and recorded and performed together many times under that umbrella. A reunion of the two artists, started in October of 2011, when Royce Diamond started Random Acts of Music. Looking for a new sound, Royce Diamond reached out to his old band mate for production. The story goes, coming down the pipeline is a lot more music from the two of these artist.

Let it out

Let it out is a soulful union of electronic synths and hard-hitting Hip-Hop 808′s. Royce Diamond unleashes his very soulful rhythmic flow over this beat with a very melodic delivery. Let it out, seems to tell, a tale of hard work and believing in yourself. At times it feels as though Royce Diamond is talking to himself and at others like he’s training up a legion of young artist.
