In September of last year, I was hanging out with Dan Matic for a Kansas City Chiefs-themed birthday gathering he was throwing for himself at his house.  After the Chiefs win we were still hanging out in his home studio listening to music when our conversation led to the concept of an album we would piece together with multiple artists.  The first artist that came to mind during our conversation is a childhood friend and talented hip-hop artist by the name of Gavi.  Gavi brought lyrics that in my personal experience are timeless if you’re a black man living in America.
